HEAT

A tower that recalls the ubiquitous pylons of the 20th century electricity grid, but carrying sound instead of high tension power lines - a voice that talks about heat and cities, the primitive fire that is the underlying power source of modernity. The words are those of Don DeLillo, from his novel White Noise.
